THE SPEAKERS      The 45th CAMS Annual Scientific Meeting was held on Saturday, November 1, at the CitiGroup Conference Center at 388 Greenwich Street in New York City.  The scientific program was sponsored by New York Hospital Queens for 4.5 AMA PRA Category I Credits.  Dr. Jennifer Liu and her Program Committee members organized a superb program, "A Symposium on Cancer in Chinese Americans and Cancer Treatment Update".     Conference Program  Faculty List  Selected Abstracts

	POSTER PRESENTATIONS     The poster display was the largest this year: 24 posters with 11 submitted by students, residents or Fellows which qualified for the Poster competition.  Drs. Jerry Huo, Jennifer Liu and Hsueh-Hwa Wang served on the judging committee.  First prize was awarded to Charles Liao and second prize to Annie Fang, both of UC San Francisco and both happened to be CAMS Summer Research Fellows.  They were awarded $200 and $100 prize money and gave a 10 minute oral presentation.

THE PARTICIPANTS

	EXHIBITORS   There were 26 exhibit booths.  For the first time, bags of "goodies" donated by vendors, such as mouth wash, tooth brushes, pens, brochures, were passed out.  Polo shirts with CAMS emblems and lapel pins were sold at the registration desk with minimal success.  The sale of the book "Final Exam, A Surgeon’s Reflections on Mortality" by Dr. Pauline Chen was however hugely successful.  It was sold out and Dr. Chen autographed all copies and raised $1,280 for the CAMS Educational Fund.
